Strictly star Ricky Whittle arrested for assault

Strictly Come Dancing contestant Ricky Whittle has been arrested on suspicion of assault after a row outside a city centre nightclub.
The actor is being held at a police station in Liverpool following the alleged incident in the early hours of Friday.
A police spokesman said: "Merseyside Police can confirm that a 29-year-old man from the Billinge area of Greater Manchester has been arrested on suspicion of assault.
"He remains in police custody where he will be questioned. This follows an incident in Duke Street, Liverpool city centre, in the early hours of this morning."
It is unclear whether Whittle will be able to participate in Saturday's Strictly Come Dancing.
