Botox caused Casualty star's stagefright

Sarah Manners has revealed that her face froze on set after having Botox injections.

The former Casualty star, who played receptionist Bex Reynolds, was filming an airline drama when the incident occurred - and an entire scene was lost.

She told the Independent: "The director wanted a close-up of me looking upset, but the movements had to be minimal. As the cameras began rolling, the tears welled up and I made what I thought was a slight movement with my eyebrows. Nothing happened. The director shouted 'cut' and we did it again - but nothing happened."

The 31-year-old said she did not tell anyone she had recently had two doses of Botox and instead spent two weeks practising facial exercises to get her muscles moving again.

"It taught me a lesson," she admitted. "You can't afford to have Botox when you're an actor. It could lose you work."

Sarah Manners: Don't overdo the Botox!
