Arlene Phillips to dance at the National TV Awards

So You Think You Can Dance's Arlene Phillips is set to head back to the dancefloor for a one-night-only performance when she struts her stuff at the National Television Awards.

She will leave her ringside seat to show she can do more than just talk the talk as she shows off her fancy footwork with finalists from the BBC1 show.

The performance will be one of the highlights as Britain's top TV shows battle it out for the honours at the 15th staging of the awards.

Ant and Dec are hoping to be among the big winners with three nominations at the bash at the O2 Arena.

However they can only win two titles as they face themselves in one category, with Ant And Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway and I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! competing for best entertainment programme.

Ant and Dec are also shortlisted as best entertainment presenter, along with Holly Willoughby, Michael McIntyre and Paul O'Grady.

In the talent show category, The X Factor takes on Britain's Got Talent, Dancing On Ice and Strictly Come Dancing, from which Arlene Phillips was axed last year, sparking an ageism row.

But the veteran choreographer, 66, will show she is far from past it by performing an 'electrifying' routine in an Alexander McQueen frock to Christina Aguilera's hit Ain't No Other Man.

The awards, hosted by Dermot O'Leary, will also feature X Factor twins John and Edward Grimes and the winner, Joe McElderry, and will be screened live on ITV1 from 7.30pm Wednesday January 20.
