Dancing On Ice: a difficult week for Danny!

Former Coronation Street star Danny Young is hoping to stay in Dancing On Ice this weekend following a disastrous week of training.

Young - who topped the judges' scoreboard on last Sunday's show - has reportedly suffered several falls during rehearsals, and is also set to try the 'frog lift' movement that led to Sinitta getting the boot a fortnight ago.

And he even suffered the same fate as Sinitta's partner Andrei Lipanov suffered on the show, when his trousers ripped during the move.

"It's proving really hard. We've had a few tumbles and my partner's blade has been pretty close to areas where you don't want a sharp edge!" Young told the Mirror.

"It's a very difficult routine," a show source added. "He's already torn three outfits and his confidence is low."

Sunday's show will see both the male and female celebrities competing together for the first time this series.
