So You Think You Can Dance: Hayley and Mark out!
23/01/2010 - 21:16

Hayley Newton and Mark Calape have become the latest finalists to be voted off So You Think You Can Dance, after losing out in the final dance-off.
The pair found themselves having to perform again to stay in the competition after landing in the bottom four alongside fellow performers Mandy Montanez and Tommy Franzen.
And after all four had performed solo the judges voted unanimously to save Mandy and Tommy.
Hayley - who escaped elimination previously in the first week of the live finals - said her experience on the show had been "amazing".
"It has truly been an honour for me to be up here," she told presenter Cat Deeley.
Meanwhile hip-hop dancer Mark - who recently won the BBC Three talent show Move Like Michael Jackson - said he hoped he had "inspired people" during his time on the show.
"I can say that I'm blessed to have come from the streets and got this far," he said.
Earlier in the show Hayley had performed a hip hop routine with ballet dancer Alastair - a style of dance which both performers had admitted to finding difficult.
However Hayley won praise for her efforts. "You had some very difficult steps there and you did them very well," Nigel Lythgoe told her. Arlene Phillips, meanwhile, described the routine as "body-breaking stuff".
Mark, meanwhile, was criticised for his lack of chemistry with dance partner Mandy. "You need to get a little more technique," Lythgoe said.
This week's show saw the finalists performing routines in couples, as well as performing solo and as part of a group.
Eight finalists - four boys and four girls - now remain in the show, competing for the top prize of £100,000 and a trip to Hollywood to perform on the US version of the programme.
