Posh: 'I have sympathy for Cheryl'

Victoria Beckham has spoken of her sympathy for Cheryl Cole.

The singer-turned-designer, who became friendly with the X Factor judge during the 2006 World Cup in Germany, is confident Cheryl will bounce back from her marriage breakdown and controversy surrounding her footballer husband Ashley Cole's alleged affairs.

"I do sympathise, I have so much sympathy for Cheryl - my heart goes out to her, both as a woman and as someone in the media spotlight," Victoria told the Daily Mirror.

"I feel for her so much, it's a horrible situation but she's a fantastic, strong woman and she will be fine."

Victoria's husband David was accused of having an affair with personal assistant Rebecca Loos in 2004. He denied the allegations and the couple's relationship was put under pressure during that time.
