Hollywood star Steve Carell resumed his Anchorman role on Thursday when he took over to host the weather on GMTV.

Prompted by GMTV's resident weathergirl Clare Nasir, Steve told viewers that it would be "raining all over North America" before adding: "You'll be seeing a lot of rain wherever you go in the UK."

At the end of his report, Steve joked: "I'll be going back to Los Angeles where it never changes and the people are fake."

Steve was in the UK to promote his latest comedy Date Night.
