The singing Priest has already clocked up over 60 million You Tube views with his performance at a wedding!

Britain’s Got Talent viewers were enthralled by the performance of singing priest Fr Ray Kelly, who sung his rendition of REM’s Everybody Hurts on the ITV talent contest.

After getting four yeses, Father Ray, 64, said: “I just had the most amazing experience… the four judges gave me a standing ovation.

“I mean, come on! It doesn’t get better than that! I’m shaking still, I’m absolutely shaking!

“Cos I genuinely, genuinely was not expecting that at all. And I’m just floored by it”

Amanda gave him a hug and lots of BGT fans were also wowed by his performance. “He deserved a gold buzzer. He was absolutely amazing.” Another wrote: “‘I’ve heard him sing at a wedding, incorporating the name of bride & groom. It was hallelujah. Makes me cry as did this.”

Another tearful viewer commented: “How amazing was in tears. Bless you xxx.” While one viewer said: “Absolutely beautiful sang straight to my heart.”

Father Ray is already something of a star with a You Tube video of him singing going nuts, being watched over 60 million times! “I was singing at a wedding at home in Ireland four years ago and it went viral on You Tube,” he explained before his audition.

The judges all praised his performance, with Simon Cowell saying: “I wasn’t quite sure what to expect… but this one of my favourite ever auditions.”

Alesha Dixon described it as a “Beautiful audition,” while Amanda said it was “Brilliant and honest.”
