Casualty’s Charles Venn, who plays Jacob, ditches medicine for mud in And They’re Off for Sport Relief 2018
Strictly Come Dancing winner Ore Oduba presents this entertaining six-part competition for Sports Relief, which started last week. Charles is joined by adventurer Steve Backshall, Olympic rower Helen Glover, singer Stacey Solomon and presenter Yasmin Evans. The stars compete against each other in a muddy, unpredictable obstacle course, while studio contestants guess which celebrity will come first in order to win once-in-a-lifetime prizes!
“It’s really fun, lively, silly, slapstick but there is a real competition. And They’re Off does highlight is that we’re all guilty of believing things are going go one way when we’re actually judging books by their covers!” said Ore Oduba who added: “We’re all guilty of this, especially when you’ve five celebrities from the worlds of sport and entertainment to chose from. You think you know who’s going to win and come out on top. The amount of times we have contestants out of the game from their judgements!”
We’ve every faith Charles stands an excellent chance against his fellow celebrities. And if not, catch Charles, who plays tough nurse Jacob Masters in Casualty later on Saturday evening, standing up to his colleague doctor Elle Gardner on Casualty at 8.25pm on BBC1…
