Countdown assistant Rachel Riley is the latest celebrity to be linked with a spot on Strictly Come Dancing.
According to the Daily Star the 27-year-old has signed up for the tenth series of the BBC One show, which is due to return to screens next month.
And in doing so she joins a line-up of celebrities rumoured to include model Abbey Clancy, pop star Sophie Ellis-Bextor, former X Factor winner Joe McElderry, rugby star Ben Cohen, Desperate Housewives actress Teri Hatcher and TV personality Vanessa Feltz.
Reports of her involvement come hot on the heels of rumours that former Coronation Street actress Natalie Gumede has also signed up for the show.
Natalie – who played evil Kirsty Soames in the ITV soap – is a self-confessed Strictly fan, who has admitted: “It’s healthy for me to step away from an intense and dark character for now.
“Strictly is something that I’d really enjoy doing. I’m a huge fan and would love to get the sequins out and be partnered with Brendan Cole.”
The BBC announced earlier this week that 15 celebrities will take to the dancefloor this year, giving the show its biggest line-up ever.
Five new professional dancers – including Iveta Lukosiute, who stepped in for an injured Aliona Vilani during the 2012 series – will also be making their debut.
The series will kick off with its launch show – when the stars learn who they will be paired with – on September 7.
