Fans have praised pop star Ariana Grande after last night’s emotional One Love Manchester benefit concert.

Twenty-two people died and 119 were injured after suicide bomber Salman Abedi detonated a device in the foyer of Manchester Arena after an Ariana Grande concert on May 22nd.

Coronation Street’s Faye Brookes revealed over the weekend that she was just metres away from the bomb. She said the experience had left her “numb” but she was determined to live each day to the full.

Last night’s benefit gig included performances from pop stars such as Katy Perry, Take That, Little Mix, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus and Coldplay.

Fans took to Twitter to praise Ariana for arranging the perfect tribute to those who has lost their lives.

Piers Morgan, who previously criticised the star in the wake of the attack, tweeted: I misjudged you, @ArianaGrande & I apologise. You’re an admirable young woman & this is a magnificent night. Respect. #OneLoveManchester

Justin Bieber honoured the victims of the attack, encouraging the 50,000 strong crowd to chant “love, love, love” as he took to the stage.

The Canadian star said: “What an amazing thing we are doing tonight, would you not agree? Would you agree that love always wins? What a better way to fight evil with evil than fight evil with good.”
