TV presenter Gabby Logan has been named Tesco Celebrity Mum of the Year.

The 38-year-old sport broadcaster and host of Channel 5’s Live With Gabby has been acknowledged for her devotion to charity work which she juggles with motherhood.

Gabby – married to former Scottish international rugby union player Kenny Logan – has six-year-old twins Reuben and Lois.

She follows in the footsteps of past winners such as Coronation Street’s Sally Dynevor and Kym Marsh, as well as Tana Ramsay, wife of TV chef Gordon.

“I am very humbled about this award, because I think a title that includes the word ‘mum’ carries huge responsibility.

“I feel privileged to be able to work with charities I’m passionate about – so winning this was an unexpected honour,” she said, in an interview for the March/April issue of Tesco magazine.

Gabby will receive her award at the Tesco Mum of the Year ceremony at The Waldorf Hilton Hotel on March 11.

Her charity work includes her involvement with the Daniel Yorath Appeal, which she set up in the name of her younger brother who died suddenly from an undiagnosed heart condition in 1992.

She also works with Sport Relief, The Prince’s Trust, The Disability Trust, Sparks and a Great Ormond Street Hospital campaign.

Liz Jarvis, Tesco Mum of the Year editor, said: “Her extensive and ongoing commitment to a range of charities made her a natural choice. As a busy working mum, she manages to juggle a hectic schedule with family life, whilst always remaining down-to-earth and genuinely passionate about her charity work.”
