THE sixth season of Game of Thrones is going to be completely different to previous years says Maisie Williams, one of its stars – and you can see all-new clips in the video below, which promises ‘terrifying’ things.

Maisie, 18, who plays Arya Stark in the fantasy drama, said that fans would be watching something unlike what they had seen before, partly because the show is now “off book”  – meaning it has moved ahead of George RR Martin’s novels.

Speaking at a recent press conference in London, Maisie said that season six is “nothing like the show has done before”.

“And that’s the main exciting thing about this series,” Maisie added. “Although we’re off-book, it means that they [the creators] can write the series without having to stick to certain plot points that are already laid out.

“Everyone can have a nice [story] arc and we can all have a pinnacle moment at the same sort of time like you get in one epic episode.

Maisie also revealed that in season six she would be in less episodes than in the past and that many of her scenes were “split up”, reports The Express.

Co-star Liam Cunningham, who plays Davos Seaworth, was also at the event and echoed Maisie’s words.

“The first episode is astonishing,” the 54-year-old Irish actor teased. “There’s absolutely amazing stuff coming up, just so unexpected.”

Game of Thrones season 6 simulcasts on Sky Atlantic on Monday April 25 at 2.00am and will be repeated on the same day at 9.00pm.
