Lily Allen has struck back at Alan Carr over apparent comments he made about her last-minute decision to pull out of his Chatty Man show.

According to The Sun, the camp chat show host jokingly launched a foul-mouthed tirade to the audience that it was the second time the singer had left him in the lurch.

After reading about Alan’s comments, Lily wrote on Twitter: “Sorry Alan, but I can’t help being ill. If it’s any consolation I feel awful. I wouldn’t have been any fun at all.

“I do think your comments are a bit strong though. Unless you were being sarcastic and your words were taken out of context.”

Alan is said to have asked whether Lily had a ‘vendetta’ against him and joked that he could ‘slap’ her.

The Smile singer also pulled out of an interview for Scott Mills’ BBC Radio 1 show.

Her spokesman has denied she is pregnant after rumours spread that she was expecting a baby when she turned down cigarettes and alcohol at the Wireless Festival at the weekend.
