Louie Spence has signed up as a regular guest on a male-focused answer to long-running BBC series Woman’s Hour.

The Pineapple Dance Studios star will feature in the six-part series of hour-long shows on Radio 5 Live.

The new show, Men’s Hour With Tim Samuels, is to launch this month with figures from sport, entertainment and politics chatting about issues which affect men.

The BBC said the show was ‘less about leering at ladies and more concerned with how to maintain monogamy,’ adding ‘this is the men’s magazine women have been waiting for’.

Regular features on the show, which starts on July 18, will include Questions You Daren’t Ask Your Doctor and Midlife Music Crisis.

Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour has been a broadcasting staple for 44 years.

Radio 5 Live has also unveiled a new topical weekly news show for Richard Bacon, Chart The Week.

The presenter will be joined by a panel of guests to discuss the issues of the week.
