Harry and Meghan will be tucking into a lemon and elderflower cake on their big day

Prince Harry had a play fight with William and Kate’s chocolate biscuit wedding cake – which caused a “heart-stopping moment” for its makers!

As well as a multi-tiered fruit cake for their 2011 wedding, the pair also had a less traditional cake – a chocolate biscuit cake, a favourite of William’s from his childhood.

And, as Harry and Meghan Markle prepare for their big day, ITV’s new documentary, Invitation to a Royal Wedding, reveals their was a “heart-stopping moment” when Harry boxed with the cake!

It was created by Paul Courtney and master chocolatier Barry Colenso, who spent two days putting the finishing touches on it at Buckingham Palace. And Paul recalls: “We’d just finished and there was a collective sigh of relief. I think there was a tear in my eye that we’d done it. Harry came bounding in and he was just how you’d expect him to be, a fun joker.

“He walked up to it, very enthusiastic, “Oh, wow, fantastic, is this chocolate?” And he picked up a piece of chocolate and ate it, then he pretended to box with the top decoration and we were like, “Oh no… it was a fun but heart-stopping moment.”’
