The eleven finalists who will compete in the live heats of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Superstar over the next fortnight have been revealed.
The lucky eleven, who were named on Saturday night’s show after the remaining hopefuls had performed for Lloyd Webber in Mallorca, will take part in live finals which will begin on Sunday, in a bid to win the lead role in the impresario’s revival of Jesus Christ superstar.
Of these ten will compete in the finals while one, holiday camp singer Jon Moses, is a reserve finalist, who made the cut after Lloyd Webber told him he wanted him to continue on the show.
The 27-year-old has undergone the same training as the other ten ahead of the final, but will act as an understudy and will be given a chance to take over if any of the other finalists are forced to pull out.
Others in the line-up include former X Factor boot camp reject Ben Forster, and Nathan James, who was recently seen on The Voice auditions, but failed to make the final line-up.
The competitors are as follows:
Afnan Iftikhar, 23, from North Shields
