In a lavish and star-studded ceremony, reportedly costing £1million, Michelle, 27, and Mark, 28 became Mr and Mrs in front of 200 guests, which included Michelle’s former Coronation Street co-stars Kym Marsh, Brooke Vincent and Antony Cotton, Emmerdale’s Kelvin Fletcher and Mark’s TOWIE mates.
Michelle, who was engaged to Mark for 18 months before their big day, is said to have designed her wedding dress herself with Browns Brides of Marylebone, London.
She had seven bridesmaids in attendance: Mark’s sisters Jessica and Natalya, Michelle’s stepsister Nichola, her three cousins, Gemma, Katy and Lauren and childhood friend Becky Hatch, who was maid of honour.
But even with all of them on hand, Michelle was still about 30 minutes late for the ceremony, rolling up in a beautiful, white Rolls Royce.
Mark arrived in a big white limo with his best man, brother Josh, and ushers.
“We’re both close to our families and it is important they shared the day with us,” says Mark.
But family and friends are on a strict photo ban, due to the couple’s exclusive deal with a magazine.
As the wedding got underway, Michelle reportedly walked down the aisle to Shania Twain’s From This Moment On.
Following the ceremony, the newlyweds left at about 4.00pm to celebrate at 16th century mansion Hengrave Hall.
And their first dance? According to the Sunday People, it will have a Strictly Come Dancing theme as Michelle and Mark will dance to a live song performed by one of Strictly’s vocalists. Mark’s dance partner, Karen Hauer, will also be part of the performance.
All guests have reportedly been asked by the couple to make donations to charity rather than give them gifts.
