Tom Burke and Holliday Grainger will return next year on BBC1 for a third Strike story by Robert Galbraith, aka JK Rowling, called Strike – Career of Evil.

Career of Evil, which is based on J.K. Rowling’s best-selling crime novel written under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith, will centre on Cormoran Strike (played by Tom) and his assistant Robin (Holliday).

Strike: The Silkworm

The story opens with a dismembered leg being sent to Strike’s tiny London’s Denmark Street office.

Both Cormoran’s and Robin’s lives are sent into disarray by the surprise, forcing them to confront ghosts from their pasts.

Their partnership reaches breaking point as Robin’s wedding approaches and they disagree about how to trap a man who abuses children.

Strike has been a hit for the BBC with the first episode of Strike – the Cuckoo’s Calling attracting a consolidated audience of 7.8 million views. All three books which have been made into the TV series topped the Sunday Times bestsellers’ list in both hardback and paperback.
