he Human Body: Secrets Of Your Life Revealed

The final mind-boggling look at our bodies is all about how we learn. Thirty-eight-year-old presenter Chris takes on an eight-year-old to see who can learn to juggle the quickest. He’s testing the age-old saying – can you teach an old dog new tricks? The answer is a resounding yes. It’s completely amazing, in fact, how much our bodies, brains and even genes can adapt to new experiences and environments. The van Tulleken twins also look at the importance of sleep in fuelling a good memory, why a single drop of water falling from an eye is a uniquely human experience and how music is key to learning to talk. The only thing more astounding than our amazing bodies is how much there is still to learn. Rating: ****
