TV Times top picks for tonight

What’s on telly tonight? Here the TV Times team of expert reviewers highlight the best shows on Sunday 10th June

Poldark, 9pm, BBC1

Dust off your tricorn hats and brace yourselves for an action-packed hour of drama! Aidan Turner returns tonight as our favourite swashbuckling hero in the fourth series of this hit costume saga. It’s 1796, Prime Minister William Pitt has called an election, plunging the country into chaos, and Cornwall is suffering under the power of Truro’s MP George Warleggan. When a corn riot erupts, Zacky’s son Jago leads the charge and Sam and Drake attempt to stop him. However, their good intentions land them behind bars for a serious crime they didn’t commit – and it’s looking like even their brother-in-law Ross can’t save them this time… Rating: *****

The Handmaid’s Tale, 9pm, C4

It seemed too good to be true that June would escape Gilead so early in the series, but that didn’t stop us wailing at the TV when she was captured moments from freedom. Now, in a gut-wrenching return to hell, she’s Offred again. When she returns to the Waterfords’, they express relief that she survived the ‘kidnapping’ before throwing a disturbing baby shower. But how will Serena Joy react when Offred won’t sit in silence? Rating: *****

Antiques Roadshow, 8pm, BBC1

To mark 100 years since women won the right to vote, this episode is dedicated to fabulous females who changed history. It’s filmed at the Palace of Westminster, where precious items are brought in to be examined. Watch out for the George Cross awarded posthumously to Violette Szabo, 22. Fiona Bruce also meets the House of Commons’ first female Speaker, Betty Boothroyd. Rating: ****
