You can’t shake your beach towel without hitting a guest star in tonight’s episode. Comics Hale and Pace appear as undercover cops who are meant to be hunting down Les, but who decide that a week’s all-inclusive means work will have to wait. Shane Richie also guests as Sammy Valentino, a washed up former game show host who Monty signs as the Solana’s next big act. Elsewhere, Loretta is still convinced that Cyd has ulterior motives, Callum decides he needs a more professional woman, and watch out for a blink and you miss it appearance from Carol Decker of T’Pau – China in Your Hand – fame. Rating: ***

dinnerladies diaries, 8.00pm, Gold

First aired in 1998, Victoria Wood’s sitcom dinnerladies has stood the test of time. In the second episode of this series marking the 20th anniversary of the show, the cast remembers how Victoria would make changes to the script right up until filming. ‘It was terrifying,’ says Thelma Barlow, who played Dolly, while Duncan Preston came to rue the day he asked for his character, Stan the handyman, to have more to do. ‘In the next script there were tongue-twisters and everything!’ Rating: ****

Zoe Ball’s Hardest Road Home, times vary, BBC1

Watching celebrities undertake intense challenges for Sport Relief is always an incredible watch but Zoe Ball’s arduous 300-mile cycle from her native Blackpool to her current home in Brighton is extra special. The ever-game presenter, who has very little cycling experience, is taking on the punishing feat to help raise awareness of mental health issues after losing her partner Billy Yates to suicide last year. As part of this deeply emotive documentary, Zoe will also talk to other people about their own bereavements due to suicide, and will look at the work that is being done to help those who are suffering from depression. Rating: *****
