Who Wants To Be A Millionaire will be stripped across a week in the spring on ITV
Who Wants To Be A Millionaire is returning to ITV to mark the iconic game show’s 20th anniversary, with Jeremy Clarkson taking over presenting duties from Chris Tarrant.
Chris previously stepped down as host, announcing: “It’s time for a break,” but now Who Wants To Be A Millionaire is coming back in the spring for the first time since 2014 with former Top Gear presenter Jeremy firing the questions.
“I have always loved the show and am thrilled to be involved with its rebirth. I’m a big fan of quiz shows and I’m looking forward to hosting this iconic TV show and hopefully making a few millionaires!”
The seven new episodes will strip across one week, with an episode going out each night, with members of the public getting the chance to win £1,000,000. The lifelines – 50:50, ask the audience and ask a friend – will remain but ITV has suggested “there will be a number of new twists and turns for audiences to look forward to.”

ITV will, you’d imagine, bring the show back for a new series if the week-long strip of episodes proves a big hit with viewers.
