Casualty 23rd September

Look who’s back – it’s Dr Sam Nicholls (Charlotte Salt), but not as we know her. She’s working as a paramedic now and she’s no longer married to Tom. Sam reluctantly finds herself back in Holby, face-to-face with her ex-husband Dylan and former lover Iain. In short, it’s complicated! Are you ready to see Ruth and Anton strut their stuff? We are! Tonight’s our first chance to see the fledgling couples perform a full routine beneath the glitterballs, and to work out just how pernickety new head judge Shirley Ballas is going to be. All 15 celebrities will perform, and although they’ll be marked by Bruno and co, the scores roll over to next week. So no eliminations in week one should mean no tears before bedtime – unless Susan Calman gets emotional about Kevin Clifton again! Who will shimmy and who will shudder after a dressing-down from Craig? We just can’t wait to find out! Rating: *****

Tony begins in Dartmoor, following in the tracks of Sherlock Holmes. Along the way he encounters the mystery of a reputedly bottomless lake and meets a four-legged beast. Rating: ****
