Shaz, as she's better known, is the new kid on the block who really cares about the people on her team.
Sweet and passionate, Shaz has a heart of gold but can be a bit of a dark horse, often surprising her colleagues by revealing her wild side. A real party animal, Shaz loves getting dolled up for a night on the town.
Shaz becomes firm friends with Chris after he rescues her. But she won't stand for any sexist or homophobic nonsense from the team and finds herself always having to pull Chris into line. It takes a while for her to warm to fellow female Alex - but she soon starts to see the DI as a role model.
Born in England in 1978, Montserrat Lombard has many TV credits to her name having appeared in Love Soup, Roman's Empire and Hyperdrive. She also starred in an episode of the BBC2 comedy Saxondale, playing the daughter of Tommy (Steve Coogan).
Montserrat's other TV credits include guest roles in Doctors, Twisted Tales, Nathan Barley, Murder In Suburbia, Midsomer Murders, and a part in the feature-length ITV drama Tunnel Of Love, starring alongside Jack Dee.
She has also appeared in many stage productions, including People Who Don't Do Dinner Parties with 55 Degrees North's Mark Stobbart.
