Student/Sales Assistant, 21, south London
Sylvia came to the UK with her family aged 11, when the war started in her native Sierra Leone. Describing herself as feisty and ambitious but soft on the inside, she is equally at home in church or a shopping mall. Sylvia says religion plays a very important part in her life. She believes in God, goes to church every Sunday and prays before she goes to bed every night.
She is currently studying English Literature and Psychology at Derby University, but would ideally like to pursue a career as a singer and says she has a good voice. Sylvia gives herself 5/10 for intelligence and 8/10 for looks, but says the only thing she doesnât like about herself are her wrists as they are too skinny.
Very sociable, she likes to go out to bars and going clubbing, but also loves reading, with her favourite book being The Color Purple. Her favourite comics are Alan Carr and Russell Brand, and favourite television shows include Scrubs, Friends, The Simpsons and Family Guy.
