US TV star Jerry Springer revealed he is Simon Cowell's biggest admirer when whatsontv.co.uk caught up with him at the British Soap Awards.
Springer presented the award for Most Spectacular Scene to Emmerdale, then talked backstage about Cowell recently hiring him to host the next series of America's Got Talent.
He then revealed he was in Britain to discuss UK TV projects with Cowell, but refused to elaborate.
