The 44-year-old Massachusetts-born actress was most famous for playing Dr Kimberly Shaw in Melrose Place before scoring the career-defining role of Bree in Desperate Housewives. But she's also had recurring roles in Seinfeld, Cheers (playing Kirstie Alley's sister) and Ally McBeal.
She married stockbroker Tom Mahoney in early 2006 and the couple are expecting their first baby in April 2007.
