Moving Wallpaper gets a second series

Moving Wallpaper - the comedy spin-off from soap Echo Beach - will be back for a second series but Echo Beach will not be returning, ITV has confirmed.

The future of Echo Beach, starring Martine McCutcheon and Jason Donovan, has been in doubt following poor viewing figures for series one.

But popular Moving Wallpaper - from the makers of Life on Mars and Spooks - will be returning, with Ben Miller reprising his role as hapless TV producer Jonathan Pope.

The second series of Moving Wallpaper picks up where the last series ended with Jonathan and the team discovering that Echo Beach will not be getting a second series.

James Lance, Lucy Liemann, Dave Lamb and Sarah Hadland will also be reprising their roles as Jonathan's loyal production team, who are all eager to find out if they still have a job - and what it will be with Jonathan in charge.
