In Odessa, Bennet and The Haitian meet Ivan and order him to reveal where the paintings are. Eventually, they find the paintings. One shows Claire unconscious, another Nikki banging on a door, and a third shows Peter standing by a biohazard symbol. Another three depict Hiro and Kensei fighting, Mohinder with a broken nose, and Noah's death.

Mohinder is ordered to give Monica a dose of the virus as it will help in the plan to bring down the Company. But as this will disable her powers, Mohinder refuses and destroys the syringe. Bob later thanks Mohinder but tells him he'll be getting a new partner to avoid any 'further misunderstandings. Mohinder meets his new partner - it's Nikki.

Caitlin decides to accompany Peter as he follows the painting and the ticket to Montreal, as she is in the painting and she also wants revenge for her brother Ricky's death. After finding a note from Adam Monroe, Peter teleports them to New York and they see evacuation orders dated June 14, 2008, and realise they are a year in the future.
