Four months ago

After surviving his detonation over New York City, Peter Petrelli is captured by Elle and Bob, who claim that The Company want to help cure him of his powers. As Peter and Adam try to escape, they are persued by Elle and the Haitian, and decide to split up. While Elle electrocutes Adam, the Haitian erases Peter's memory.

Having survived being shot, D.L. Hawkins begins a new life with Niki and Micah. But Niki is controlled by a new personality, Gina, and heads off to a party in LA. When D.L finds a note, saying 'Gone to LA', he assumes that Jessica is back and goes after her. But at the party, DL assaults a man, who later comes back and shoots him dead.

Alejandro Herrera has just got married, but when his sister Maya spots his new wife having sex with her ex at the wedding reception, Maya's powers activate for the first time, killing everyone at the party except Alejandro, and she flees. Alejandro later tracks down Maya and the siblings decide to go on the run from the police.

Back in present day Montreal, Peter tells Adam that he remembers who he is.
