Christian's the man in charge

Christian's first day as Acting Inspector proves quite tough but his spirits are lifted when Miranda turns up at the station to offer her support following her stint in rehab. Christian's pleased to hear that she's secured an interview as a Drugs Referral Worker - and as he helps her prepare for the interview there's clearly chemistry between them.

Shoplifter Wayne is back in custody after being caught red-handed. The police don't know it, but ambitious Wayne is also a delivery boy for two drug dealers, Aaron and Kwame, but he is pitting them against each other in a bid to take over their patch. When Kwame is found beaten unconcious, CID jump into action to avoid further tragedy.

Elsewhere, Neil and Kelly are called to a disturbance between neighbours Jack Duggan and Keith Sparrow - on top of their usual petty disputes, Jack and Keith are now fighting over Jack's wife Jill. Having defused the situation, Neil and Kelly are shocked when they are called back and find that one of the men has taken things too far...
