Will Grace catch Gavin's attacker?

Sergeant Rachel Weston and Pc Roger Valentine are called to a disturbance where they find drug dealer Gavin Henshaw beaten unconscious and tied to a chair. In hospital, after Gavin fails to answer questions or write a statement, DC Grace Dasari and Trainee DC Kezia Walker visit Jay Newman, who they discover was at Gavin's at the time of his beating.

Jay admits that he did go to Gavin's to buy drugs but swears that he left as soon as the deal was done. Later, Jay's mother pays Grace and Kezia a visit, and is forced to admit that she and her family are in witness protection, after Jay gave evidence in a murder trial, and DS Elizabeth Marsh fills them in on Jay's previous trial.

Back at Sun Hill, Jay cracks under the pressure of Grace's tough questioning and admits that he saw local villain Les Cooper beat up Gavin. Grace is pleased with the result - but Elizabeth doesn't want Jay's identity to be exposed so Grace must find another way to arrest Les.

Later, Grace and the other officers are horrified when they arrive at a crime scene to discover Jay's body.
