Two old-timers and a young upstart bring their criminal empire to a Devon fishing village in this new six-part comedy drama series.
Syd Woolsey (Warren Clarke) and Maurice Riley (Anthony Head) once known as 'The Invisibles' because they were so good at their jobs have been living the high life on the Costa del Crime after years of theft and skullduggery.
But with money running out and Maurice suffering from a heart problem, they hatch a new plan to set themselves up for a cosy retirement returning to a tiny fishing village on the Devon coast, where they can keep their heads down, fish to their hearts' content, and avail themselves of the NHS.
In Devon, however, their money worries return particularly when Syd's 25-year-old son, Joe (Darren Tighe), gets into trouble and needs to be bailed out. In need of some extra cash, the boys decide to attempt one last job, with a little help from Hedley Huthwaite (Dean Lennox Kelly), the 30-something son of their late partner-in-crime, Vernon.
Not everyone is in on the secret. Maurice's ex-model wife Barbara (Jenny Agutter) knows all about her husband's life of crime but their daughter, Grace (played by Anthony's real-life daughter, Emily) has no idea that her idyllic childhood in Spain was funded by ill-gotten gains.
The final member of the reunited gang is Young Nick (Paul Barber), a technical wizard who helped Maurice, Syd and Vernon pull off some of their greatest criminal triumphs.
The question is: will the 'one final job' really prove to be their last? Log on to whatsontv.co.uk to see how the story unfolds...
