Maurice gets a blast from the past

Maurice and Syd get a nasty surprise when Detective Inspector Bo Locke - AKA Knacker of the Yard - turns up. Knacker was the one policeman who ever got close to catching The Invisibles and he's just rented the flat below. And the pair are worried when Knacker reveals that he has evidence that could put them away for good.

Maurice thinks he's bluffing but then Knacker reveals that he has a glove from the scene of the Heathrow bullion job and advances in DNA testing will link it to them - unless they do a job for him. He wants them to rob a bent ex-colleague but, confident that Knacker has nothing on them, Maurice refuses to be blackmailed.

But Maurice is furious when Syd admits he did lose the glove and things get worse when Maurice's daughter Grace returns from university. When Knacker learns that Grace knows nothing of her dad's criminal past, he warns Maurice to do the job or Grace will find out the truth. Maurice, Syd and Hedley soon give in to Knacker's demands.
