Rackham rattles Maurice

Maurice is rattled when wife Barbara befriends wealthy widower Peter Rackham, chairman of the golf club. At the annual golf dinner and dance, Rackham comments on Barbara's Aubrey bracelet and asks Maurice where he got it - but Maurice's vague response makes it clear that he stole it and Rackham seems more interested than ever.

At the end of the night, Syd bumps into Janet, who turns out to be an old flame. As the couple reminisce about old times, Maurice berates Syd and says their love won't last. Later, Maurice voices his concerns about the welfare of the gang to Hedley - when Syd's got his eye on a woman, he takes his mind off the job.

When Barbara's bracelet is stolen, Maurice is quick to blame Rackham. Barbara refuses to believe it and, in a row, Maurice forbids his wife to see Rackham again - prompting Barbara to kick Maurice out of the flat. Determined to get both the bracelet - and his wife - back, Maurice plots to break in to Rackham's house.

But things don't quite go according to plan...
