Maurice learns that life's too short

Maurice's check-up at the doctors doesn't go as planned when the doctor suffers a heart attack, and Syd frantically drives Maurice and the doc to hospital. Maurice vows to start taking his health more seriously - but when he gets home an irate Barbara reveals that Grace's valuable violin has been stolen and she wants him to get it back... Now!

Turns out that Syd was at the doctor's for his own check-up and deals with bad news the only way he knows how... by hitting the bottle. Just when Maurice needs Syd to help raid a local music shop for Grace's violin he's drunk, but Maurice is adamant they need him. Unsurprisingly, the gang come a cropper and risk being caught red-handed.

Struggling to find a way out, Maurice thinks they should just give themselves up - they shouldn't be under this much stress at their age. Syd can't believe his ears and, in a bid to get through to Maurice, he reveals his big secret. Shaken back to reality, Maurice and the gang pull off one explosive getaway...
