The One And Only - Week 1

*The One And Only has now concluded*
It's X Factor meets Stars In Their Eyes as Graham Norton hosts BBC1's latest talent search to find Britain's best tribute act.
Wannabe Robbies, Kylies and Madonnas from across the country will be battling it out for a money-can't-buy prize - a three-month contract performing with the renowned Legends in Concert, the world's longest-running celebrity impersonator show, in Las Vegas.
Running for seven weeks, the first two shows will include all the highs - and lows - from the auditions, as the hopefuls pay tribute to their favourite idols to win a place in the Superfan Singoff.
The men will take on Robbie Williams, Elton John, Frank Sinatra, Lionel Ritchie and Rod Stewart, while the women turn their voices to Madonna, Kylie, Diana Ross, Dusty Springfield and Cher.
The hopefuls who make it through to the Superfan Singoff will have their work cut out as they try to impress a panel of superfans, who know all there is to know about their idols. And it's these superfans who will ultimately decide which 10 tribute acts will make it through to the live shows, starting on January 12, where the competition really heats up. Here, the public will also be given the chance to vote for two 'wildcard' acts.
Vocal coaches David and Carrie Grant will help all the hopefuls polish their performances - and secure those all-important viewer votes to keep them in the competition. Every week, the wannabes will be whittled down until a grand final will determine which of the last remaining doppelgangers are heading for the bright lights of Las Vegas.
Which finalists have really got stars in their eyes? And who's just seeing double? Log on to whatsontv.co.uk for all the gossip from the show.

The makers of hit BBC1 talent show The One And Only have been accused of potentially acting illegally by failing to pay the tribute acts who took part.
