Denise Van Outen to host OK! TV

Denise Van Outen is to make a return to TV presenting after being named host for the new Five show OK! TV.

The ex-Big Breakfast star, who was also a judge on BBC One musical shows such as Any Dream Will Do, will launch the show this month, replacing axed teatime show Live From Studio 5.

Denise, who became a mother last year, will co-host the show with Matt Johnson, a former boyfriend of The One Show presenter Alex Jones.

Matt, voted one of the sexiest men in Wales, has recently featured on daytime series This Morning and last week appeared on the show in the nude.

Denise has been appearing in stage musical Legally Blonde in the West End. Last year she gave birth to daughter Betsy and became involved in a war of words with actress Natalie Cassidy, who criticised her for returning to work.

Denise said of her new role: "I have a huge appetite for all things showbiz so this show is right up my street. I'm really looking forward to working with Matt, too, and we can't wait to show the viewers what we've got in store."

Programme bosses have promised the show will be a mix of 'big name interviews, features from the worlds of celebrity, music and fashion, plus gossip and plenty of banter'.

The launch of an OK! magazine spin-off on the station had been widely anticipated following publisher Richard Desmond's acquisition of Five last year.
