Spelbound: 'We hope to take people's breath away'
Britain's Got Talent winners Spelbound will perform at The Royal Variety Performance 2010. We caught up with the gymnastics troupe's Alex Uttley to find out more...

What can viewers expect from your routine for this year's Royal Variety Performance?
"We plan to include things that nobody has ever seen from us and we’re hoping the routine will take people’s breath away."

Are there any nerves among the group?
"There's a lot of pressure on us. This is the big prize so we've got to up our game from the final of Britain's Got Talent to prove to everyone that we deserved to win."

Which of the other performers are you looking forward to meeting on the night?
"We can't wait to see Take That. We're all big fans of the group and the fact that Robbie's back with them will be amazing. N-Dubz were on Britain's Got More Talent and were really supportive, saying they thought we should win. To see them again will be exciting."

At the Britain's Got Talent final, judge Amanda Holden said Spelbound would be the ideal act to open the London 2012 Olympics...
"That's a massive dream of ours. We train so hard, but acrobatic gymnastics isn't even recognised as a sport, so to be able to open the Olympics is the ultimate goal for us."

What does performing at the Royal Variety Show mean to you?
"We're so excited, we just can't wait to do it. People work their whole lives to be able to perform at the Royal Variety show, so I think it'll be our best experience yet!"

*The Royal Variety Performance screens on BBC1 on Thursday, December 16.
