Britain's Got Talent star Susan Boyle has revealed she is the "happiest she has ever been" after her "brilliant year".
The 48-year-old - who finished as runner-up to Diversity in the ITV1 show in the summer - described her success as "humbling" and said she was looking forward to 2010.
Her debut CD, I Dreamed A Dream, is poised to become the biggest selling album of the year in the UK, selling around 1.4m copies.
It has been top of the album charts for the past four weeks, and has also spent four weeks on top of the charts in the US where its sales exceed 2.4m.
"The album being so well received is humbling and I'm so grateful," Boyle told the Mirror.
"It's been an absolutely brilliant year and I can't thank everyone enough for the support I've been given, not only here but around the world.
"I am the happiest I have ever been and truly enjoying myself. I'm looking forward to 2010 and all it has to offer."
Boyle added that she would be spending Christmas back home in West Lothian, Scotland, with close family and friends.
She said it would be "a quiet time for reflection".
