Lou Reed bans Susan Boyle from singing Perfect Day

US singer Lou Reed has apparently banned Susan Boyle from performing one of his hits on America's Got Talent.
The Scottish spinster, who came runner-up on Britain's Got Talent in 2009, was forced to pull out of the performance after hearing the news on the way to the studio.
She had arrived in Los Angeles on Wednesday to record a rendition of Lou's 1972 hit Perfect Day.
But at the eleventh hour show bosses were informed that Lou would not grant his permission for her to sing the song because he's not a fan of her.
A source close to the star told MailOnline: "Susan is very sensitive and is genuinely upset. This has really knocked her confidence.
"She was in a car on the way to the studio when she was told the news and was totally devastated.
"She's now at LAX Airport sobbing her heart out."
