Simon Cowell pays for tutor for George

Simon Cowell risks losing his Mr Nasty image, after it was revealed he is paying for private tutors for Britain's Got Talent winner George Sampson.

Simon, currently appearing as a just on The X Factor, wants the 15-year-old breakdancer to get a good education while he's dancing so he's forking out £2,000 a week for private tuition, according to reports in the Daily Mirror.

A source close to the music mogul said: "Simon knows George is spending a lot of time dancing and that he's loving living his dream but he's insistent he needs his exams and should do well.

"The bill of a top private tutor is going to run into big money by next year but Simon is insistent that it is cash well spent. And let's face it, he can afford it."

George has found it difficult to attend his school in Warrington, Cheshire, as his career has taken off after winning the ITV1 talent show earlier this year.

He has been receiving 15 hours-a-week coaching from private tutors - but Simon is paying for him to have one-to-one sessions for 30 hours to get the grades he needs in his nine GSCEs to attend the Brit School in Croydon, South London.

The source added: "Most teenagers wouldn't be too chuffed to get more lessons but George wants to set a good example to his fans."
