Britain's Got Talent sensation Susan Boyle will see in 2010 performing on a Japanese TV show - in a bid to boost her profile in the Far East.
The Mirror reports that the 48-year-old - who has sold more than six million albums worldwide - will be appearing on the country's biggest New Year's Eve programme, singing a traditional Japanese song.
"Kohaku Uta Gassen is a massive show watched by millions," a source close to the singer said, "and lots of them who have seen Susan on You Tube will now get to see a new very special performance
"Susan has been practising a Japanese folk song called Wings To Fly, which she is hoping to perform live for the first time."
The song originally appeared as a bonus song on the Japanese version of her album I Dreamed A Dream, which is number one in the album charts there despite the fact Boyle has never been to Japan or been promoted there.
Earlier in the week Boyle - who spend Christmas with her family back in West Lothian, Scotland - said she was the happiest she had ever been.
2It's been an absolutely brilliant year and I can't thank everyone enough for the support I've been given here and around the world," she told the Mirror. "I am the happiest I have been. God has been very important to me."
