Don’t adjust your TV sets – after being axed from Channel 4, Big Brother really is back!

The mother of all reality shows returns to our screens in a new home on Channel 5 and with a new presenter – show favourite Brian Dowling.

Big Brother’s best-loved housemate Brian won the series in 2001 AND Ultimate Big Brother last year and is excited to be taking over presenting duties from ‘Big Muvva’, Davina McCall.

The revamped series begins with a celebrity version, which leads into a full series, where another bunch of weird and wonderful members of the public will enter the Big Brother house with cameras watching their every move for 10 weeks.

For real Big Brother addicts, Emma Willis fronts a brand-new spin-off, Big Brother’s Bit On The Side, screening after each highlights show.

Rumoured stars entering the house this time round include X Factor duo Jedward, tabloid favourite Kerry Katona (and her mum!) and Only Way Is Essex star Amy Childs.

Brian’s certain that, despite past controversies, viewers still have an appetite for the show in general.

"Big Brother has been off-air for nearly a year now and people have missed it – there’s still a lot of love out there for the show," he says. "I really hope it goes back to basics with people living in a house, having fun and being entertaining. After all, that’s what it’s about!"
