Noel Fielding aching after Let's Dance rehearsal

Noel Fielding has been left sore and aching all over, following intense rehearsals for Let's Dance For Comic Relief.

The Mighty Boosh comic is in training for the charity dance competition, where he will battle against Lulu, former GMTV presenter Penny Smith and comedian Andi Osho to go through to the next round.

"I am aching, I am really aching and I have to train tomorrow and do more dancing so I can't really get too drunk," he said at the NME Awards in London, where he presented the Best New Band gong to Manchester synthpop duo Hurts.

"I'm really enjoying it, yeah. It is fun and I am enjoying it. I'm glad they asked me."

Noel, who is keeping his February 26 performance a secret, insists winning is not part of his game plan.

"We'll see. I'm just going to try and do it and hopefully try and raise some money. And not worry about the winning," he added.

The 37-year-old enjoyed watching Waterloo Road's Philip Martin Brown and Rebecca Ryan's impressive dance-off to Run-DMC's It's Like That and Russell Kane's rendition of Beyonce's Crazy In Love.

"I really liked the teacher and the young girl and I thought Russell was amazing. I thought they should have gone through as well," he continued. "But Katie did well. I don't know [how I would do]."

Noel's performance for Let's Dance For Comic Relief will be shown on February 26 on BBC One.
