Stars spoof Upstairs and Downton for Comic Relief
15/03/2011 - 17:19

A host of top British comedians will star in a parody of period dramas Downton Abbey and Upstairs Downstairs for this year's Red Nose Day.
The show, Uptown Downstairs Abbey, will star Joanna Lumley, Jennifer Saunders, Victoria Wood, Harry Enfield and Dale Winton as part of BBC One's Comic Relief: Funny For Money show from 7pm this Friday.
The show will hope to emulate previous parody sketches such as 2009's Mamma Mia and 2003's Harry Potter and is set to be one of the main highlights of the night.
The spoof will give viewers a tongue-in-cheek view behind the scenes of the popular period dramas, to see just how much of a flirt Downton Abbey's Mary really is and whether Thomas is as catty off camera as he is on.
To see the sketch in full, watch Comic Relief: Funny For Money at 7pm on Friday, 18 March.
