Take That, JLS & Adele to sing on Comic Relief

A host of top British music acts including Take That and JLS have signed up to perform at this year's Comic Relief on Red Nose Day.

They will be joined by the award-winning Adele, the singers of the official Red Nose Day single, The Wanted, and Annie Lennox as Comic Relief prepares for the most exciting Red Nose Day show yet, kicking off on Friday, 18 March from 7pm on BBC One.

Brit boyband JLS will be performing their single Eyes Wide Shut, Adele will treat viewers to her single Someone Like You, while The Wanted will perform Gold Forever, Annie Lennox Universal Child and, to cap it all off, Take That will set the night alight with an exclusive performance.

Speaking about the event, Take That said: "It's great being part of Red Nose Day and we're all really looking forward to performing on the night. It's such a fantastic event that helps so many people and it's always an honour for us to be involved."

Marvin from JLS said: "Me and all the boys always want to get involved with Red Nose Day and Comic Relief. It's a fantastic cause and it's great to be a part of it. It's always an amazing night and raises so much money."

Nathan from The Wanted added: "Red Nose Day is such a fantastic day and it's amazing to be a part of it. We're really proud of this single – although in hindsight I suppose we should have recorded Red Forever instead of Gold!"

Other highlights on the night will include a whole host of special sketches from TV’s finest stars and contributions from some of the nation's funniest and most talented celebrities.
