Dancing On Ice's Gardiner faces the chop!

Dancing On Ice judge Jason Gardiner is facing the chop from the show, according to the Sunday Mirror.

The paper reports that the notoriously catty choreographer will not be back in 2011, following complaints about some of his comments on the recent series of the show.

TV chiefs are reportedly lining up Pineapple Dance Studios star Louie Spence to take his place on the judging panel alongside Karen Barber, Nicky Slater, Emma Bunton and Robin Cousins.

"Jason went too far and he's paying the price for it now," an ITV source told the paper.

"There's a very fine line between offering constructive criticism and being downright rude. In the end he became a liability."

More than 400 viewers complained to ITV during the 2010 series after he compared Sharron Davies to "faecal matter that won't flush".

He has courted controversy throughout his time on the show, one year comparing Olympic athlete Kelly Holmes to "a man in drag" and calling Sky News presenter Kay Burley "ugly".
