Emma Bunton to judge Dancing on Ice

Emma Bunton is set to launch a new career as a judge on Dancing On Ice.

She will replace TV and theatre star Ruthie Henshall when the show returns to TV screens early next year.

Others on the panel include Jason Gardiner, Robin Cousins, Karen Barber and Nicky Slater.

The 33-year-old popstar told The Sun: "I can't wait. I've been a huge fan since the show began."

On his Twitter page, presenter Phillip Schofield said: "At last our secret is out! Emma Bunton is our new judge on Dancing On Ice! We've been busting to tell you that for ages!"

In reaction to Emma's lack of ice skating experience he argued that the Spice Girl is there to judge the dancing side of the competition, leaving the skating know-how to Nicky, Robin and karen.

Phil said: "As for Emma's qualifications, it's Dancing' On Ice, she's there to judge the dancing with Jason."
